President Mahama Tells Investors Ghana's Medium Term Prospects Are Bright

President John Mahama has again assured the investor community that inspite of the current challenges, Ghana's robust economic fundamentals support growth and development.

He said Ghana's medium term prospects are bright and investors must look at the new Ghana.



President Mahama was addressing  an investment breakfast meeting in London, on why investments are safe in Ghana.

Development in any country is driven by huge investments. As the second largest economy in West Africa coupled with a stable political climate, dynamic Private Sector and strategic position, Ghana no doubt has won the admiration of the investor community.

President Mahama, describes his country as a uniquely growing economy, calling investors to look at the Agriculture, Agro processing, waste management, energy, Real Estate and general infrastructure sectors.

He assured the investors that the current economic challenge is short-term and the future looks bright.

President Mahama, asked the international investor community not to be deterred by the scourge of the deadly Ebola virus, which is more Global than segregated.

He said even though Ghana has not yet recorded any incidence, efforts are in place to stem its spread if the country is hit by the deadly disease.

Present at the meeting were the Foreign Minister Hannah Tetteh, Ministers of Trade and Industry Ekow Spio-Garbrah, Finance, Seth Terkpeh, Food and Agriculture, Fiifi Kwetey and the Chief Executive of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, Mawuena Trebah.

Meanwhile, President John Mahama will later today speak at the UK House of Commons on Ebola and the Security Situation in the West African Sub-region.

Hosted by the All Party Parliamentary Group, President Mahama who is Chair of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, will continue his advocacy for a more sustained international support for the affected countries.
