The Ghana Club 100, instituted in 1997, presented its maiden awards in 1998 during US President Bill Clinton’s visit to Ghana.  His Excellency President John Evans Atta Mills (then Vice-President of Ghana) represented President Jerry John Rawlings at the event and presented the awards.
